FCSSGW Relocates Head Office to Shared Provider, Centralized Location
After more than 16 years at the current location, FCSSGW will relocate its head office to 20 Shelldale Crescent at the end of the month and will reopen to clients on March 31, 2020. All programs and services will continue to operate from the centralized location, and phone numbers and email address will remain the same. The Mount Forest and Fergus offices will continue to run normally from their existing sites.
The decision to move from the downtown Guelph location is due to limitations and restrictions around the size of the parking lot, availability of street parking, full accessibility for persons with disabilities, room to expand programs and services, and proximity to other complementary service providers.
“To access our services, clients, staff, and volunteers need a location that is fully accessible, is on a well-serviced transit route, is open extended hours and weekends to accommodate those in crisis and client work schedules, and has sufficient parking,” said executive director Joanne Young Evans. “The new Shelldale location provides all of these necessities plus the added benefit of being located in the same building as Guelph Community Health, Family and Children’s Services of Guelph-Wellington, and Shelldale Family Gateway.”
The office will close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 26 and reopen at the new location of 20 Shelldale Crescent at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31. Temporary interruptions to the phone system and email service for all offices will occur during the closure and equipment relocation.
