I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for providing me with the opportunity to participate in the one-on-one credit counselling program for abused women. The tools and techniques I have learned throughout our sessions have been and will continue to be invaluable to my future as an independent woman. I am leaving our sessions with a completely positive outlook on my financial future. I now have a strong understanding of budgeting, credit management and balancing debt repayment and saving for the future
The counsellor was always respectful and friendly right from the start. She listened to my concerns and seemed to understand my situation. She helped to make a difficult situation a little easier.
Both counsellors treated me with respect. I feel more in control of my spending. I am actually excited to put what I learned into practice. I think basic budgeting and money management should be taught in the schools.
I really needed to see what was coming in and what was going out. I have been separated for 2 years and managing my own money has been one of the biggest adjustments. I had no idea what money was going out or how much was in the bank. Being on my own on one paycheck has been a huge eye opener for me. Going to the counselling sessions has really helped me to feel in control.
Compassionate approach. Very practical tools that I could learn that have helped to build my confidence.
