Mental Health Funding for Distress Line Services

Compass Community Services will receive a grant to help continue providing Distress Line services.

The Distress Line has seen an increase in calls since the pandemic began with residents looking for support with stress, anxiety, depression, loneliness, and thoughts of suicide.

The infusion of resources will go toward additional hours of service in the evening and on weekends to ensure consistent coverage and to train volunteers who provide compassionate support and referrals to other community services when warranted.
